There are 18 people who subscribe to my blog using Google Reader. Compared to the number of visits I get every day, that is an incredibly meager number... even moreso when you consider that at least 6 of those are directly attributable to my family members.
So besides those who just come here casually via a link from another nursing blog, how are the rest of you reading my posts?

It's only within the past couple of days, but I've now got you set up through Google Reader. Prior to that, I was reading you as random links or blogrolls from other blogs, and then just kind of reading through other, non-linked posts to entertain myself.
I use newsgator. It says I'm the only subscriber though ...
Bloglines. I'm a fairly new reader though.
I don't remember where I found you, but I do my reading through Google Reader, and I suppose I'm one of the 18 :) It's nice to have someone from the ER posting who doesn't totally rip on MY profession (LTC/rehab nursing). I'll keep reading!
And btw--I've put a nursing blog of my own. Check it out if you haven't already...

I have bookmarked you in my blogs folder;) That sounds so old fashioned, doesn't it?
Google reader, all the way. My workplace's NetNanny blocks most external sites but it doesn't block Google :)
I linked your blog to mine. I'm pretty lazy.
I subscribe through google reader. Does it show up on your stats when people read your blog through a reader? because I usually don't actually go to your site, but I'm just wondering if I end up in the stats.
Was using Google. Temporarily trying netvibes. Randomly connected to your posts through other sites.
I also subscribe through google reader! I was wondering the same thing that Nickie asked.
Wow! So many people that I didn't now were readers! To answer the question about Google Reader: no, it does not show up on my analytics reading if you subscribe through Google Reader or another blog reader.
And I suspect that the 18 people that are listed as subscribed must be an out of date number, because between everyone in the comments that said they read on Google and the people that I already know read on Google, I get more than 18. Thanks to everyone for coming out of the woodwork. Keep showing your faces; it is good to see who my audience is.
I'm still setting up my google reader but I found you through DisappearingJohn when he announced change of shift was being held here. Love the blog and the humor so I bookmarked it and come by just about every looking for new stories.
Hi,I subscribe through IE RSS feed. I guess that's what you're asking,I'm not real savvy at this.
I found you. I liked you. I posted you on my blog. Life is simple in Paradise.
Thanks to this post, I subscribe through Google Reader... not knowing that it existed before. D'oh!
I can't recall how I found you, but I'm pretty sure that your blog was linked on someone else's blogroll.
Now that I've found you, I have you bookmarked and I check in almost daily.
